Use:
  • Treatment of severe systemic fungal infections
  • Prophylaxis in immunocompromised patients
Side Effects:
  • Nephrotoxicity
  • Infusion-related reactions (fever, chills, hypotension)
  • Electrolyte imbalances (hypokalemia, hypomagnesemia)
Contraindications:
  • Hypersensitivity to amphotericin or its components
  • Severe renal impairment
