Drug Name:Carbidopa
Drug Class:Dopamine decarboxylase inhibitor
Mechanism of Action:Inhibits the peripheral conversion of levodopa to dopamine, allowing more levodopa to reach the brain
Use:
  • Used in combination with levodopa for the treatment of Parkinson's disease
