Mechanism of Action:
  • Inhibits platelet activation and aggregation by irreversibly binding to the P2Y12 receptor on platelets
Use:
  • Prevention of thrombotic events in patients with acute coronary syndrome, recent myocardial infarction, stroke, or peripheral arterial disease
  • Prevention of stent thrombosis in patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention
