Mechanism of Action:Blocks histamine H1 receptors and muscarinic receptors in the CNS
Use:
  • Prevention and treatment of nausea and vomiting associated with motion sickness
  • Treatment of vertigo and dizziness
  • Adjunctive therapy in the treatment of anaphylaxis and angioedema
Side Effects:
  • Drowsiness
  • Dry mouth
  • Blurred vision
  • Headache
  • Confusion
  • Tachycardia
Contraindications:
  • Hypersensitivity to cyclizine or other antihistamines
  • Narrow-angle glaucoma
  • Severe liver disease
  • Prostatic hypertrophy
  • Obstructive disease of the GI tract
