Mechanism of Action:
  • Inhibits calcium release from the sarcoplasmic reticulum in skeletal muscle
  • Reduces muscle contraction by decreasing the sensitivity of the muscle fibers to calcium ions
Use:
  • Treats muscle spasticity associated with spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy, and multiple sclerosis
  • Prevents and treats malignant hyperthermia
