Mechanism of Action:
  • Inhibits aldehyde dehydrogenase, leading to accumulation of acetaldehyde
  • Acetaldehyde accumulation causes unpleasant symptoms when alcohol is consumed
Use:
  • Adjunctive treatment of alcohol dependence
