Use:
  • Reversal of sedation and respiratory depression caused by benzodiazepines
  • Diagnosis and treatment of benzodiazepine overdose
Side Effects:
  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
  • Dizziness
  • Headache
  • Agitation
  • Seizures (rare)
Contraindications:
  • Hypersensitivity to flumazenil or benzodiazepines
  • Use in patients with a history of seizures or benzodiazepine dependence
  • Use in patients who have received long-term benzodiazepine therapy
