  • Inhibits late sodium current in cardiac myocytes
  • Reduces intracellular calcium overload
  • Improves diastolic relaxation
Use:
  • Treatment of chronic angina pectoris
  • May be used in combination with other anti-anginal agents

  • Constipation
  • QT prolongation
Contraindications:
  • Hypersensitivity to ranolazine
  • Severe hepatic impairment
